Welcome to Saltaire Brewery website

Saltaire Brewery was established in 2005 and is dedicated to the production of high quality, traditional English Ales. The World Heritage Site of Saltaire, famous for its Victorian industrial heritage, and home to Salt’s Mill, a showcase for a range of Yorkshire talents such as David Hockney, is just around the corner. Situated in an old generating hall that once provided the electricity for the Saltaire trams, the lofty Victorian architecture provides a perfect home to our specially commissioned 20 barrel brewhouse and Visitor Centre.

Although the team is dedicated to using traditional methods and ingredients, we are thoroughly modern in terms of our brewhouse and recipes. We use malts from a long established local maltster and only brew with whole hop flowers.

We have created a range of beers that really stand out in terms of flavour and balance. We are also on a mission to inform drinkers about what makes a great beer. Wine lovers know what they like and why - there’s no reason why we can’t do the same for beer! Our Visitor Centre includes an exhibition that explains the science and history of brewing!
