The Visitor Centre

The Visitor Centre fascinates not only real ale fans, but also all those who are interested in seeing how things happen! The stylish mezzanine bar sits in a grand Victorian building, which formerly generated electricity for the Shipley trams. The brewhouse lies below, revealing all the secrets of how to brew fine beer!

An exhibition of the history and science of brewing, features interactive exhibits and a wealth of information (and trivia!) on beery subjects. It entertains all, whether you are a beer fan or not!

The Visitor Centre is open for pre-arranged groups of 20 or more adults, usually on Thursday evenings from 7 – 9.30pm. Admission is £5 per head, with a minimum payment of £100 per group booking, and includes a tour of the brewery and a free pint or tasting tray.

Due to the fact we operate a working brewery, health and safety considerations preclude us from allowing visitors during working hours and from allowing children into our Visitor Centre (sorry!)

If you would like to visit the brewery, but don’t have a group of 20, please contact us as we may be able to add you to another group or tell you about our future events.

We are able to offer a range of menus, from the traditional favourite ‘Pie & Pea Supper’ to a scrumptious ‘Mixed Buffet’. See our menu page for full details.

Saltaire Brewery also forms a fabulous venue for corporate entertainment and events. We have hosted Christmas parties, birthday bashes, charity events and there is even talk of a wedding reception…! Please contact us for more details.
