Saltaire Brewery Launch Bantam Blonde in aid of Bradford City Football Club’s Burns Unit Appeal
Saltaire Brewery in conjunction with the Shipley Bantams is launching a beer in aid of the Bradford City Football Club Burns Unit appeal. The appeal has been set up to try and raise £100,000 before 11th May 2010, which marks the 25th anniversary of the fire at Valley Parade. The launch will take place at the brewery site on Dockfield Road, Shipley at 6pm on Friday 27th of November with the first pint being pulled by one of Bradford City’s finest ever players, John Hendrie.
The brewery is donating 5p per pint sold of the beer to the appeal which will be available in local pubs throughout December and January.
The “special beer” is in actual fact, their hugely popular Saltaire Blonde 4% which is being renamed “Bantam Blonde”.
Tony Gartland, Head Brewer and Founder of Saltaire Brewery said, “Following the approach from Shipley Bantams, we were very keen to help raise as much money as we could for the appeal. Re-badging our Saltaire Blonde was a very obvious choice as it is such a popular beer. It will be an enjoyable way for the local community to help raise money for such a worthy cause!”
